Event Details

Through his soulful eye, we (as spectators) can be transported to Havana while experiencing a measure of the energy, flavor, and spirit of Cuban life. James Knill’s images are pure visual poetry.

About the Artist

James Knill uses photography to capture, to record, and to preserve a timeless moment of existence from the physical world. Photography also allows him to express his viewpoint of the world, and to share his inner processing of the physical realm with others.

About the Spotlight Gallery

Cornell Art Museum works to collaborate with local art groups to curate, manage and promote art exhibitions to support and benefit non-profit children’s groups, student groups, arts education groups, art scholarship organizations, and other artist groups.

The Spotlight Gallery opens with a reception on the First Friday Art Walk of each month and artwork remains on view for the entire month.

The Spotlight Gallery fosters connection and conversation amongst the artists themselves as well as our community allowing underserved and unseen art to be “spotlighted” and given a chance to be appreciated.
