These include composition, sighting, tonal (shading), contour drawing and exploration of color. Student’s sense of proportion, compositional layout and line quality will benefit, as well as their ability to create volume by using a range of values. On alternating terms, students will use wet or dry media. They will work in sketch books as well as create a variety of original art works suitable for their portfolio.
