The Cornell Art Museum at
The Cornell Art Museum at Old School Square presents Flora, a group exhibition of contemporary artwork by 30 artists incorporating themes inspired by the goddess of springtime, fertility, and flowers.
- An immersive, hanging thread garden created by Amanda McCavour (who created the large atrium installation for Fabricated). Guests will be invited to walk through the garden along a “path.”
- A collaborative installation created by Diane Arietta and Cheryl Maedar, incorporating “an enchanted garden” concept, complete with sculpture and video installation.
- Beading and embroidery on canvas by Stephanie Hirsch, whose work works are sometimes stretched onto surfboards and other surfaces.
- An atrium installation by Hayley Sheldon in her signature, whimsical style of a larger than life dandelion, complete with the floating dandelion seeds.
Museum hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 10 am-5 pm; Sunday, 1-5 pm. Closed Mondays and holidays.
Admission: $8 (general); $5 (seniors 65+ and students with ID)
Free admission for children under 12, Old School Square members and Veterans
Free admission for Florida residents on Sunday.
